Gotta love the trolleys!

San Diego is a pleasant and clean city. The water front area that we explored is host to a Aircraft Carrier Museum and numerous restaurants, shops and marina.

Quaint shops and a bustling waterfront.

Our next destination took us South through Phoenix and down to San Diego, California. We booked a motel, The Old Town Inn, right across from Old Town. This quaint motel had a good continental breakfast, nice pool area and great location. The free wireless internet was wonky, but they did have a computer in the lobby that you could use.

Check out the San Diego Zoo if you are in the area.

We spent the whole day at the zoo where you will find a wide array of animals, shows, and activities.

One of the shows where you can get
up close with some wild animals.

Hand Painted in less than 10 minutes.

The San Diego Zoo has a bus system where you can take a guided tour, about 45 minutes, or use the express buses and get on or off at numerous stops throughout the zoo. This will help save your feet as the day progresses.

But, but, but...

See "Faces of the San Diego Zoo" for more photos.
